X17 photographers snapped Ellen DeGeneres and wifey Portia de Rossi shopping in Beverly Hills yesterday, and when we asked the newest American Idol judge what we could expect from her on the show she said, "I'm going to be the meanest judge you'll ever see!"

Wait, what?! We HOPE she's kidding, but it would be kinda funny to see Ellen outdo Simon in the cattiness department! Ellen added that she was going to be so mean that she was "going to turn into another person!" Think she has it in her?

Portia & Ellen Sign On for Project Zambi Charity

Want a piece of a celebrity — or maybe just their signature? Famous faces like Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, George Clooney, Scarlett Johansson, Alicia Keys and more are lending their autographs to custom-designed collectible elephants for Hasbro Inc.’s Project Zambi, to bring awareness and raise money for the 15 million kids who have lost parents and relatives to AIDS.

Fans can bid on the elephants — each one signed by a participating celeb — online from Oct. 5 - Oct. 15 via eBay.

Other celebs include: Jessica Biel, Glenn Close, Leonardo DiCaprio, Joely Fisher and Brad Garrett, Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson, Jonas Brothers, Alicia Keys, Heidi Klum, Kathy Najimy, Rhea Perlman and Danny DeVito, Graham Rahal, Susan Sarandon, Brooke Shields, Willow Smith and Jaden Smith, Taylor Swift, James Taylor, Barbara Walters, Denzel Washington and Naomi Watts.

Australian Portia Fans - Better Off Ted Premieres Tonight

As our Twitter followers are already aware, Better Off Ted debuts tonight in Australia on The Comedy Channel.

After huge success in the US, Better Off Ted comes to Australia for the first time ever; promising not to disappoint! Better Off Ted is a satirical office comedy about Ted, a successful good guy, who runs research and development at the morally questionable Veridian Dynamics. No achievement is too far-fetched and no invention too unorthodox. Ted loves his job, but he's starting to question the company's morally dubious practices. Do you manufacture the world’s best teeth whitener if it could also kill off all of the planet's fish? Probably not, but...

Ted’s a single dad to a 7-year-old girl and is also fighting an attraction to co-worker Linda. He's already had his self imposed "one office affair" with überboss Veronica who is beautiful and possibly devoid of conscience and emotions. Veronica lets nothing get in her way when it comes to serving Veridian's needs, even if it means cryogenically freezing an employee for testing purposes. After all, research scientist Phil, survived (after he thawed out).

Better Off Ted stars Jay Harrington as Ted, Portia de Rossi as Veronica, Andrea Anders as Linda, Jonathan Slavin and Malcolm Barrett as Research Assistants Phil and Lem.

Better Off Ted Debuts in Australia on September 7th

Better Off Ted, the comedy about a guy who runs research and development at a morally questionable multinational, will debut in September on the Comedy Channel.

The series, from ABC in the US, stars Jay Harrington as Ted, a single dad to a seven-year-old girl who oversees two research scientists Lem and Phil, and a head tester Linda, for whom he has romantic feelings. He’s already had his self imposed “one office affair” with überboss Veronica (Portia de Rossi).

After the company cryonically freezes one of the research scientists, Ted begins to question the company’s objectives and morals. As you do….

Throughout the show, Ted also breaks the fourth wall by giving monologues to the camera to narrate his own life and explain the show’s events.

The show has already been renewed by ABC.

It premieres at 9pm Monday September 7th following the debut of 30 Seconds.

PortiaPhotos - Magazine Scans Update

A number of magazine scans (and a few other images) have been added to PortiaPhotos - the majority of the scans are thanks to Sara. The magazine span ten years from 1999 - 2009, and many of them are additions to other files in the gallery, many of them interviews and articles added alongside the photos.

Portia and Ellen Celebrate Their First Wedding Anniversary

Today marks the one year anniversary of Ellen and Portia's marriage.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were married one year ago today in an intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles.

DeGeneres, then 50, and de Rossi, then 35, both wore Zac Posen and exchanged rings by Neil Lane during the Saturday August 16th ceremony. Their big day also featured arrangements by L.A. florist Mark's Garden.

The intimate ceremony was attended by 19 guests, including DeGeneres's mom Betty and de Rossi's mother Margaret Rogers (who flew in from Australia for the occasion), who witnessed the couple exchange handwritten vows.

The couple had been dating since December 2004. DeGeneres announced her plans to wed de Rossi during a taping of her talk show in May after California's Supreme Court ruled a previous ban on gay marriage to be unconstitutional.

The following month de Rossi showed off a 3-carat diamond ring set on a pink pavé band DeGeneres presented to her for their upcoming nuptials when the pair attended the Daytime Emmy Awards together.

"She's taught me lessons about myself, and I feel like I've taught her," the TV host said of de Rossi last year. "We've both changed and grown, and we just feel like, 'Oh, okay, this is completion.'"
