Ellen: Portia "Will Be With Me Till the Day I Die"

Ellen DeGeneres says she's found the One. In the December issue of O: The Oprah Magazine, DeGeneres, 51, tells Oprah Winfrey that she and Portia de Rossi "are perfect for each other."

The comedian, talk show host and American Idol judge (come this January) opens up to Winfrey about actress de Rossi, 36, with whom she's been in a relationship since 2004. "She is so beautiful and so smart and so funny," DeGeneres gushes.

"I have that sense of 'I'm done now.' I'm settled," she says. "I know that part of my life is taken care of. I've got love. I've got someone who will be with me till the day I die."

The couple married on Aug. 16, 2008 in a small ceremony in their home; because their wedding took place before the November 2008 passage of Proposition 8 (banning gay marriage in California), a Supreme Court judgment upheld the legality of their union.

DeGeneres also talked to Winfrey about her upcoming gig alongside Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi as an American Idol judge -- replacing Paula Abdul, who left the show after its eight season.

"They came to me, and it was a total surprise," she explains. "I like to try new things because I get bored so easily. And I like the show, so I thought it was a great idea."

The ninth season of American Idol premieres in January 2010.

Better Off Ted Season 2 will Premiere December 8th

Better Off Ted will return to ABC on December 8th at 9:30/8:30C for the all-new season two!

ABC, already having a comedically successful fall, will welcome Better Off Ted and Scrubs back to the schedule in December.

Better Off Ted will kick off its second season December 8th, in the 9:30PM. slot. The critically adored comedy launched last fall and aired seven oddly staggered episodes before going off the air. After the show got an unexpected renewal, ABC burnt off the final six episodes of the first season in a staggered summer run, with an hour-long finale in August.

The comedy continues to star Jay Harrington, Portia de Rossi, Andrea Anders, Jonathan Slavin, Malcolm Barrett and Isabella Acres.[/i]

Ellen & Portia Support the Love Unites Charity Auction

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, and more than 80 entertainers and political figures, also including Julia Roberts, Robert De Niro, Anne Hathaway, Mayor Gavin Newsom, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Pine, Jessica Biel, Natalie Portman, Bradley Cooper, Lance Bass, Dave Matthews, Jared Leto, and Charlie Sheen have contributed signatures and/or enhancements to a set of Defend Equality - Love Unites original prints with a design by Shepard Fairey which became well-known during California's campaign against Proposition 8.

The project (undertaken in partnership with entertainment networking group HOMOtracker and its annual fundraiser FallOut) will go up for auction on November 10 on the website CharityBuzz and will benefit the grassroots marriage equality group FAIR.

The group is also holding an event in West Hollywood on November 12 at which the prints will be on display.

Better Off Ted Season 1 DVD Artwork Revealed

Christmas 2009 is looking good for Portia fans! Not only are fans able to finally relive Portia's role as Nelle Porter in Ally McBeal, by purchasing Ally McBeal - The Complete Series on DVD, but her latest critically-acclaimed role is also available!

Better Off Ted - The Complete First Season is released just in time for Christmas, on December 1st, and includes every episode of the fan favorite show.

The 2-disc set will run 263 minutes, and the video is widescreen, and audio options are English 5.1 Dolby Surround, and Spanish Dolby Surround. Subtitles are in English, Spanish and French. No bonus material was mentioned, other than promos of other Fox TV-DVD releases. Still no mention of a Blu-Ray release for the show, but the DVD artwork has now been released and is available below.
